What I help with
Primary focus: anxiety therapy
Common concerns:
Panic symptoms and panic attacks
Generalized anxiety and chronic worry
Health anxiety and body-focused fear spirals
Overthinking, rumination, reassurance-seeking loops
Social anxiety
High-functioning anxiety and burnout patterns
Sleep anxiety and bedtime spirals
Avoidance and stuck patterns related to anxiety
Want anxiety therapy in an LGBTQ+ affirming space
Are dealing with stress tied to identity, safety, family, work, or community
Therapy style
My work blends:
CBT skills for thoughts, behaviors, and avoidance
Polyvagal-informed regulation skills
HeartMath-style regulation tools and breathwork practices
Session style:
Practical, semi-structured, collaborative
Tools aimed at real-life use, not perfect insight
Good fit clients
You might fit well if you want:
A plan for panic and anxiety spikes
Help untangling overthinking without endless analysis
Help reducing avoidance in a paced, consent-based way
Regulation tools that work during hard moments
Direct feedback and skill-building between sessions
Examples of “best fit” situations:
Anxiety drives checking, Googling, reassurance loops, or constant scanning
Stress hits fast and the body follows, tight chest, nausea, dizziness, insomnia
Productivity gets blocked by fear of mistakes or fear of falling behind
Social settings trigger masking, overpreparing, or post-event replay
Not the right fit
I refer out when a client needs:
Active crisis support or imminent safety risk
A higher level of care (inpatient, residential, PHP, IOP)
Court-ordered treatment or custody evaluations
Emergency note: If you or someone you know is facing immediate danger or safety risk, contact local emergency services or call or text 988 in the United States. I am not a crisis counselor and am not immediately reachable via communications.
Inclusive care
I provide LGBTQ+ affirming therapy. If identity, coming out, family dynamics, faith stress, or minority stress impacts your anxiety, we can work with it directly and respectfully.
What therapy looks like with me
First steps:
Brief consult to make sure we’re a fit
After the consult we will schedule an intake where I’ll ask a bunch of questions to get to know you more and how we’ll tackle what’s going on
Clear goals built around day-to-day symptoms and patterns
Early sessions focus on stabilization, mapping triggers, and picking tools
Ongoing work often includes:
Tracking patterns: triggers, body signals, thoughts, avoidance moves
Skills practice: regulation, exposure planning, cognitive reframes, boundary tools
Progress checks and plan updates
Fees and logistics
Session length: 40-50 minutes
Rate: $125

Common questions
Do you prescribe medication?
No. I don’t prescribe. If medication support feels relevant, I’ll point you toward a PCP or psychiatric prescriber.
Do you take insurance?
I’m in network with: Aetna, Cigna, Oscar, UnitedHealthcare, Carelon, Blue Cross of Idaho, Regence of Idaho, Regence of Utah, Anthem BCBS Colorado, Anthem BCBS Connecticut, BCBS of Massachusetts, Quest Behavioral Health, and UMR
If I’m out of network, I provide superbills.

Do you offer telehealth only?
Yes. Sessions are online. You’ll need a private space, a stable connection, and to be physically located in a state where I’m licensed during the session.
What do the first sessions look like?
We’ll map what’s been happening, what keeps the anxiety going, and what you want to shift. You’ll leave early sessions with simple tools to try right away.
What if I don’t know my goals yet?
Totally fine. We’ll start with patterns and pain points, then turn those into clear goals together.
What kinds of anxiety do you work with?
Common areas include panic symptoms, chronic worry, health anxiety patterns, social anxiety, sleep anxiety, and overthinking loops.
What approaches do you use?
I blend CBT and polyvagal-informed skills. Sessions stay practical, with tools you can use in real life.
Do you offer Safe and Sound Protocol?
Yes, when it fits your goals and needs. If you’re curious, we’ll talk through what SSP is, who tends to benefit, and how support works.
How long are sessions and how often do people meet?
Sessions are 40-50 minutes. Many people start weekly, then shift to every other week once things feel steadier.
How long does therapy usually take?
It depends on what you’re working on and how intense symptoms are. Some people want short-term support around a specific issue, others stay longer for deeper pattern change.
What do you assign between sessions?
Usually small, doable experiments. Think short practices, simple tracking, and a few steps to test what helps your nervous system settle.
Do you offer between-session messaging?
Yes, limited to scheduling and brief check-ins
What if I’m in crisis or feel unsafe?
Therapy isn’t emergency care. If you’re in immediate danger, call local emergency services. In the U.S., you can call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
What if I’m not sure we’re a fit?
Fit matters. If after a consult or a couple sessions it doesn’t feel right, we’ll name it directly and I can share referral suggestions.
