Anxiety Therapy in Idaho Falls, Idaho

along 17th Street, and trips to big-box stores or local shops, life stays full. Even in a place that feels familiar and community-oriented, anxiety shows up in the middle of work, family life, faith spaces, or nights at home when everything finally gets quiet.

Anxiety might look like sleepless nights, constant “what ifs,” or a tight chest before a staff meeting, a family event, or a phone call you have been putting off. In Idaho Falls, where many people spend time outdoors, at church, or with family, anxiety often steals the ease from those moments. Therapy creates space to slow down and find tools that truly help.

How Anxiety Therapy Helps

In therapy, we look at how anxiety shows up for you and build a plan that fits daily life in the Idaho Falls area. Together we will:

• Work through worry loops and racing thoughts so focus feels easier
• Build nervous system regulation skills to stay steadier under stress
• Explore how your routines, from commuting on Yellowstone Highway to walking the Greenbelt, affect stress levels
• Create sustainable strategies to feel more grounded and connected day after day

My Approach

I use evidence-based therapy such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and polyvagal-informed practices including the Safe and Sound Protocol. These tools support shifts in both mind and body responses to anxiety, so relief lasts longer than a quick moment of distraction. The goal is a more livable, supportive rhythm for your life, whether you are at the Idaho Falls Farmers Market, walking along the Snake River, or spending quiet time at home in Ammon, Iona, Shelley, Rigby, or nearby communities.

Therapy That Fits Idaho Falls Life

Idaho Falls is known for family ties, faith communities, and access to nature. When anxiety takes over, those parts of life feel harder to enjoy. Therapy offers a place to reconnect with yourself so you return to the parts of Idaho Falls life you value, with more presence, more calm, and more ease.

FAQ

How do I get started with online anxiety therapy from Idaho Falls?

The first step is scheduling a free consultation through the website. During the brief call, we will talk about what is going on for you, how therapy might help, and whether we are a good fit. There is no commitment and no pressure. If we decide to work together, we schedule your first full session and go from there.

What does your approach to anxiety therapy look like?

I combine cognitive-behavioral strategies with nervous system regulation tools. The CBT side helps you work with thought patterns, worry loops, and avoidance. The nervous system side addresses what happens in your body, including tension, shallow breathing, restlessness, or the wired-but-tired feeling. Some clients also benefit from the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), a listening-based program designed to help the nervous system settle.

Do you accept insurance for online therapy in Idaho?

Yes. I am in-network with Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross of Idaho, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford, Providence, Regence, UMR, and several other plans through Alma. Coverage and copays vary by plan, so I recommend checking your specific benefits before your first session. If your plan is not on the in-network list, I provide a superbill after each session so you are able to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. You are welcome to ask about insurance during the free consultation.

I work with adults throughout southeast Idaho, including Idaho Falls and nearby areas. Learn more about my approach to anxiety therapy in Idaho here.
