Anxiety Therapy Online for Denver, CO

Welcome

Life’s challenges can feel overwhelming and isolating, leaving you unsure of your next steps. At Inner Heart Therapy, I provide LGBTQ+ affirming, anxiety-focused online therapy to residents across the Denver Area, helping you navigate life’s uncertainties with greater confidence and self-understanding.

Whether you’re dealing with work stress, identity concerns, or persistent anxiety, I create a space where you can process your emotions and find meaningful ways to move forward.

Denver’s fast-paced lifestyle can make prioritizing mental health difficult, especially with long commutes and unpredictable weather. Telehealth therapy removes these barriers, giving you direct access to professional support, without the hassle of traffic or waiting rooms. I work with adults across Colorado.

Your mental health matters. Let’s start your journey toward healing today.

What anxiety looks like in Denver

Anxiety here can be sneaky. Your mind starts racing before a merge onto I-70. Shoulders climb when the forecast flips from sun to golf balls in an hour. Maybe you hold it together through back-to-back meetings downtown or at DTC, then you snap once you are home. Smoke days, flight delays on PeΓ±a, and game-night traffic add pressure you can feel in your chest. If you are unsure what you are dealing with, we will map it together and choose steps that fit Denver life.

How therapy helps

We start simple and keep it practical. First we notice your tells, breath, jaw, shoulders, thought loops. Then we add small, repeatable skills you can use before a hard talk, in a stacked workday, or when your brain will not power down at night. I pair practical thinking tools with nervous-system work so decisions get clearer and your body steadies. If you want more body support, I also offer polyvagal-informed tools and the Safe and Sound Protocol. Sessions are online across Colorado, so you can meet from a quiet room at home, your parked car near Sloan’s Lake, or any private spot that works.

Support for Denver routines

Hybrid schedules, light-rail commutes, altitude fatigue after a quick peak weekend, and surprise snow in April can wreck sleep and mood. We will build routines that flex with your calendar. Think focus strategies for early starts, down-regulation after late finishes, and steady steps back from all-or-nothing thinking when plans change.

LGBTQ+ affirming therapy in Denver

Bring your full self. We can talk openly about gender, sexuality, dating, family, church history, being out at work, or choosing privacy. No code-switching, no minimizing, no educating your therapist. We move at your pace, protect your safety, and make room for real belonging.

FAQ

How does online therapy work for someone in Denver?

We meet through a secure video platform at a time fitting your schedule. You log in from wherever you have privacy, whether at home in Denver or anywhere else in Colorado. Sessions run 50 minutes and feel like a focused conversation. Many people in the Denver metro area prefer telehealth because there is no commute, no waiting room, and no disruption to their workday.

What does nervous system-focused therapy involve?

When anxiety lives in your body, talk alone does not always reach the part of your brain driving the response. Nervous system-focused therapy includes tools like breathwork, body awareness exercises, and the Safe and Sound Protocol. The goal is to help your body recognize safety is available, not by forcing calm, but by building the capacity to settle on your own over time.

Do you accept insurance for online therapy in Colorado?

Yes. I am in-network with Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross of Idaho, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford, Providence, Regence, UMR, and several other plans through Alma. Coverage and copays vary by plan, so I recommend checking your specific benefits before your first session. If your plan is not on the in-network list, I provide a superbill after each session so you are able to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. You are welcome to ask about insurance during the free consultation.

Whether you're in Denver or elsewhere in the state, I offer affirming online therapy throughout Colorado. You can read more here.

For urgent mental health support in the United States, call or text 988, or go to the nearest emergency room. I’m not an emergency service.
