Frequently Asked Questions About Online Anxiety Therapy
Do I need to live near your office to work with you?
No. All sessions are held online, so you can meet with me from anywhere within the states where Iβm licensed, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Delaware, and South Carolina.
Online therapy makes it possible to access anxiety treatment even if you live hours from a city, have a full schedule, or simply prefer the comfort and privacy of home. As long as youβre physically located in one of these states at the time of your session, we can work together.
Is online therapy as effective as in-person sessions?
Yes. Research consistently shows that telehealth therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for managing anxiety, panic, and stress.
In many cases, people find it easier to open up online because they feel more relaxed in their own space. Youβll still get the same evidence-based approaches I use in person, like CBT, polyvagal-informed regulation, and the Safe and Sound Protocol but with added flexibility and accessibility.
How private and secure are online sessions?
Your privacy is always protected. I use a HIPAA-compliant video platform designed specifically for mental health care. No session recordings are stored, and all communication is encrypted.
If you share your living space, we can work together to find a setup that feels private, many clients meet from their car, a quiet room, or even outside on a walk with headphones. You deserve a space that feels safe and confidential.
Can I continue therapy if I move to another state?
If you move to another state where Iβm licensed, we can continue therapy without interruption.
If your new location is outside those states, I can help you transition smoothly by connecting you with trusted providers in your new area. The goal is to make sure your care remains consistent and supported, wherever life takes you.
What if Iβve never tried therapy before?
Thatβs completely okay. Many of my clients start therapy when they realize theyβve been managing anxiety alone for too long.
Weβll go at your pace, no pressure, no jargon. The first session is about getting to know whatβs been weighing on you and identifying small, practical ways to help you feel steadier. You donβt need to have everything figured out before you start.
Do you offer LGBTQ+ affirming therapy in all licensed states?
Yes. Every session, no matter where you live, is fully affirming and inclusive. Youβll never need to educate me about your identity or minimize parts of yourself to be understood.
Whether you want to explore gender, sexuality, or simply have a space where nothing about you feels βtoo much,β this is a supportive environment built on respect, understanding, and authenticity.
